You can sign up at the event. I stopped by Aumsville last weekend and put up some posters for the events. The local skaters were bragging about how they are gonna KILL that course and win it all. We need to actually START the event by 7pm in order to get through all racers.
There are only two main points:_Official signup is at State of Games web page _EVERYBODY can enter. (Yes, EVERYBODY)__
_#1 Anyone and everyone can enter. (PROS, people from europe, other planets, whatever)
__#2 Only the eligible people can receive Oregon State Games medals.
_A) Amateurs only are eligible
_B) People from states of OR, WA, ID, CA, NV only (adjacent to OR)
_C) People from states without a slalom skateboard competition (only Oregon has this) _
D) People in clubs or who regularly train/compete in Oregon (anyone who has EVER competed in Oregon is an honorary member of CSA and is eligible) -- that's my interpretation and I'm in charge. __
#3 The classes of competitors (for the purpose of OSG medals) are age division ONLY. There are no divisions for experience, gender, equipment, team, state, etc... _
_The way the contest is going to be run is like this: _
_i) For the purpose of ISSA points, there is a huge OPEN group with everyone in it.
_ii) The race will be run without discrimination of PRO/AM MEN/WOMEN AGE --- These results will be sent to the ISSA for World Ranking points. One big OPEN group.
_iii) After everyone is done racing and the final results are in, we will sort the people by age groups for awarding the OSG medals, skipping those who are ineligible due to OSG rules. (PROS and anyone who comes from a state not next to Oregon). _
