Day 4: Monday May 29th cont.

Again, as the rain stopped, we headed out and dried the park. We were prepared for such situations!
McCall is a resort town. Skiing in the winter, Hiking and water sports in the summer. Quite a nice place. The skatepark has a bowl that is shaped like Idaho (Idaho bowl?), and is about 8 feet deep with a small extension on one side. A small street area, and a new kidney bowl that is being constructed now. With the bowl dry, we skated for about an hour and a half or so before it started raining on us again.

I just liked this photo.
Skateboarding at it's very basic is also at it's most fun. Just rolling around a round wall.

We headed out and said goodbye to McCall. Ted said that he liked it so much that he's coming back soon.

We headed north and decided that we had time to stop at a favorite spot, Milton-Freewater. Where phase two is now done. We noted that the bowl is shaded in the heat of the afternoon also, which was a bonus.

A short session there and we were on our way to Prosser once again. This time as the sun was setting, we skated. It's a very nice bowl, but difficult to skate when the sun is setting. But, as the lights came on, the local rippers started to come out of the woodwork. We skated with them for a little while, but we had to head home. Our time was up.

It always amazes me how many good skaters live out in these small towns. Hailey has some of the best, and some just skate by themselves. Little Brian whom I met 2 years ago as a 12 year old in Hailey. Is now heading to Woodward to do a demo at age 14. It's great to see. I am just continually amazed and awestruck by how good these kids get in such a short time.

We headed home from Prosser, without any other mishaps. We arrived late Monday night. We may have been tired and exhausted but, we were also energized by such a fun trip. All in one weekend. Whew!

Thanks to all who came with me, and all who came and skated with us. To Jack for helping fix the Persuader and especially thanks to Mike for being a great host! And especially to those who went out of their way to rescue us (my wife and Glen)!
It was a great trip!
